Privacy policy
This explains what personal data Strauss Fitness collects, why, and what your choices are. Strauss Fitness is operated by Dor Strauss, an independent business in Israel. Contact: support@straussfitness.com.
What we collect
- Your email address (and first name if you give it) when you request a free e-book, create an account or sign in.
- Where you came from (for example which video or link), stored with your signup so we can see which content helps people.
- Orders, downloads and basic technical data such as device type and browser. IP addresses are stored only as a one-way hash.
- How you use the site: which pages you view, how long you stay on each page, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you click, and the website you came from. This is linked to a random visitor ID, not to your name. We never record what you type into forms.
- Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
To deliver your free e-book and your purchases, to send the emails you asked for plus occasional related tips and offers (you can unsubscribe in one click, at any time), to prevent abuse and fraud, to provide support, and to understand and improve the site and our content. We use this site-usage data to decide what to improve, and we sometimes show different versions of a page to different visitors to see which works better (A/B tests). Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in running and improving the business.
Who processes it
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Payment provider and merchant of record: processes payments, issues receipts and handles VAT and sales tax. It is the seller of record for your purchase and acts as an independent controller of your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Hosting and database: Railway (hosting) and Neon (database, in Europe).
- Cloudflare: DNS, file storage for the e-book files, and bot protection (Turnstile).
- Resend: sends our emails (sign-in codes, delivery, receipts, and the emails you asked for).
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States, so your data may be transferred internationally. We do not sell your data. Our analytics is first-party: it is stored in our own database, not shared with advertising networks, and runs without advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Cookies
We use only first-party cookies: staying signed in, remembering your free e-book access, remembering where you came from, and a random visitor ID that lets us count visits and keep you on the same version of a page during an A/B test. We do not use advertising cookies. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not record your page views, scrolling or clicks.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and purchase records for as long as needed to provide your library and support, and as required for accounting and tax. Emails you unsubscribed from are kept only as a suppression record so we do not email you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, export, correct or delete your data at any time via the contact page. Where applicable (for example in the EU, UK or Israel), you may also object to or restrict processing, and complain to your local data-protection authority.
